Oh My Flipping World! I've Done It!

I am sitting here biting my nails, my leg is tapping and my head is being flooded with thoughts like "What did I just do?" "Was I ready?" "What if they hate it?" "What if they are as mean as they are to others to me, can I really handle that?" "Should I push UNPUBLISH!?"

I HIT PUBLISH!

I decided a long time ago and I am talking infant years that I wanted to be a writer. My entire life I had looked towards that dream. A few months back, I came across self publishing with KDP *amazon* and I thought to myself. "Why not?"  Other people are doing it, why can't I? So I decided to take my dream of being a writer into my own hands.

It was going to be free to do it, I can set my own price, and I had complete control over what would happen with my book. NOT TO MENTION that instead of waiting years to be published, it was almost instantaneous. "Hours." Not including the writing, editing, cover art, formatting, etc.

I wanted to start off small, show a little of this and a little of that. Basically show people who might happen to cross my path what they could expect from me.
Not really an easy task since my range of writing is all over the place, be it children's or tales of revenge.

I have a few other short works in progress as well as "My first" Full length Novel. (name undecided)

This one (MY FIRST EVER SHORT STORY)

Fertilizer
Alice is an all around public do-gooder with a hidden secret. A vengeful appetite towards those who stumble into her unapologetic world. Alex, an up to no good nobody gets a taste of what she calls justice.

This short story is for those who know the crippling effects when enduring the aftermath of a break in. Who share the fantasy of revenge.

First I will say, I will not claim that this is a new York best seller (its a short story) But I am hopeful that at least one person out there will like it.
It was so awesome, I hadn't even spread the word yet, and I had friends posting on my Facebook wall, Look what I found, look what I am reading, I just bought my BFF's book.
so a huge shout out goes to MANDA! my first ever customer! Jami and Shandee! I love you three with my whole entire heart! I literally cried.

You guys might think I am a sap for that, specially for the fact that I know these people, and they are being supportive because we are pals. Even so, it still is overwhelming! Not in a bad way, It is FANTASTIC!

Either way .... I feel like I am on top of the world. I feel like I am one step closer to being able to call myself a REAL WRITER!
