The Plan

You know, I never really paid attention to how much money my family wastes. "SERIOUSLY." In fast food alone, because I am either, too lazy to cook, or we have a craving, we spend about 160-190 a week in take out. A WEEK. What the heck of it?  We are going to round that up to 200 - Because I did not add the many times we stop for sweet teas, at McDonalds, or times we just want ice cream. ETC.

200 a week! That is about half of our monthly car payment! If we didn't eat out, that would be an "Estimated 800 a month." give or take, that we could be saving.

I thought back to April, we gave up fast food for lent. "Explains now." Why we had a savings afterwards.

So I came up with a plan. We will treat this year, not month, not 40 days ... but YEAR like lent. No fast food. ETC. "Mind you, I did lot for a once a month ... lets go to chili's or out to a movie deal." But no fast food ... no mindless spending on crap we do not need. "Found out quick." That by FEB. We could totally pay off our car ..... and then by October of next year, have enough for a down payment on a new car "Reasonably priced." Could meet that by half!  All bills would be up to date, so there wouldn't be any drama of ... quick, turn off the phone ringer, hiding from calls of people demanding their payment.
Wish us luck ..... if all goes well on this, I can possibly save enough to get new carpets. A HUGE NEED, this damn dog and these darned kids ... they have destroyed it!

It has only been a week since I have come up with this plan. -- I have been loyally cooking, helps when everything we normally order when we go out, I already know how to make myself. But we are going strong ... we go strong until we drive passed McDonald's, DARN FRIES! "Bag fries just do not do it for me, and I do  not know how to make home made fries, although I am sure that I will be able to find out how on pinterest.

I need to come up with some cheaper meals though ... anyone out there know some frugal meals? That are also tasty?

Either way ... this is our plan, and hopefully in October of NEXT year, I will be blogging about nicks new car!

A Bucket Full Of Crazy

Realized I spent so much time reviewing products that I forgot to blog about me. Not that I am narcissistic, but what is a blog other than an extension of yourself?

My goodness, this summer is flying by. I can not believe that school is almost about to start AGAIN. That is both a plus and a negative. PLUS, "I will finally have a little peace and quiet." Negative "I will have to get up early in the morning again *boo*"

But then again ... it brings on another HUGE plus. "FALL." I have come to the conclusion that fall, winter and spring are my favorite months. I like summer ... until the spring weather is gone and it is really hot. The only thing I really love about summer, is sleeping in and strawberries. But with fall .. comes fall leaves to jump in, pumpkin patches, hay rides, a chill in the air, a creep at night. I just freaking love fall. Kay? Okay.

I can not wait until Halloween. I am sure that all my friend, family and pinterest followers are well aware of that. I have been flooding them with "Halloween crafts. etc." I can not help it. My favorite holiday EVER. I always feel when it comes around ... I am rushing to get caught up. This time, I will be well prepared.

I tried growing pumpkins again ... FAIL, I think I am just not meant to be a gardener, its so not working out.
I killed my strawberry plants too ... I do not know what is growing in the wood thing I had strictly for plants ... But it has killed off my strawberry plants and both my tomato plants. It's growing strong though. I hope something grows on its vine, so I can see what the heck it is. I honestly do not know how that happened.
I am thinking next year ... I will leave the growing to the farmers and just head to my local farmers market and reap the benefits of their hard work, instead of crying how I just keep killing everything.

It seems odd I know ... But It literally feels like I have murdered entire families of would be veggies. Sigh .... I am just not a gardener.

I have still been writing .... I have been writing under a false name though. I want to see if I can make it without the push of my friends and family. "So far, so good." I am keeping my fingers crossed on it. I am no JK. ROWLING, but I am something.

Either way ... I am sitting here, tired as heck and hungry. My AC is broke "Until the warranty people get here to fix it." BUT the kids are not fighting at the moment, so  I will say, it is a pretty good day.

Speaking of kids ... KIDS ARE WEIRD .... I do not remember being as weird as my kids are. AKA, the photo up top, is my lovely daughter Avery "Faking having a baby, in a game of "House." with a bunch of balloons." Kid cracks me up!

I think I am going to tuck my computer away for the day .... grab a book and head outside under the shade of a tree.

Yoga Towel from Shandali Review

It is no shocker that I am a total fangirl of the shandali line .... so when I tell you that I love the yoga towel, it doesn't come as a surprise.

FIRST THING, I stuck it on top of my yoga mat RIGHT OUT OF THE PACKAGE ..... First mistake.
Read their suggestions .... if I had, I would have known that it was suggested to wet the towel first before placing it on your yoga mat, that way the towel grips onto it firmly! That way, you do not fall flat on your face!

After wetting it ... it grips on tight, even through my crazy unorganized positioning, falling around while getting into position, it held its place.

SECOND, it is a perfect little sweat soaker upper. "Not to mention, the cold air breezing across the wet towel, acts like a cooler."

It is super soft, very easy care ... AGAIN "Like with the travel towel, I suggest hang drying it."

It is durable ... I have used it everyday this week, still as good as new. The only thing I would suggest is having two. That way, when one is in the washer, the other can be in use.

I stand firm on this one. It is deff a gift a yoga lover could use!

If you guys are like me, you like FREE ... or you like to try things free to make sure they work, so you know if it is worth spending the money on.

well ...... I am here to say WITHOUT A DOUBT that this towel is kind of amazing.

I had my doubts at first, I am more of a fluffy towel snuggled close to my skin right out of the shower type girl. But when you forgot to wash towels and you get this one in the mail. You make do with what you got.

Honestly, I think it dried me quicker than the fluffy towel I normally use. "I still however, very much so prefer my fluffy towel for out of the shower." But I wanted to see just how I could use this one to give it purpose.

I did some experiments, actually had fun. It is supposed to be ULTRA ABSORBANT ... really is. I sat it on my kitchen counter and poured a cup of water on it. Missed the towel with half the water, EVEN SOAKED, it absorbed the rest I sopped up with it. "I was impressed." So I poured a little more water on the counter to see just how much this towel could take.  2 cups and a half of water later, I needed to ring it out. AFTER RINGING IT OUT, it could still soak up more. This one is GREAT for messes. "AKA, after my kids get out of the bath." Perfect for soaking up the mess they leave behind so I don't trip and fall. In fact, just leave it on the floor for when you get out! "They should make bathroom rugs from this stuff!

I used this during exercise .... I sweat a lot, specially on the elliptical machine. Wrapped it around my neck ... and wiped my forehead. Just perfect for that too.

My favorite use ... Is kitchen use. I make tea with my coffee pot, so everytime I pour the pot into the place for water, I spill it all over. My normal kitchen towel, doesn't even cut it ... paper towels use too much. This thing ... PERFECTION for my imperfect moments in the kitchen. I love this thing, and I will be getting a few more.

The wash care for them is simple. I do suggest only hang drying it , even tho they say tumble dry is okay ....

PS. I love the feel of them when they are dry, and the cute little symbol etched on. These are a must have! As in ... I must have more and WILL be talking my husband into it!

Yacon Root Syrup ... Pronounced "Ya Cone." For those out there who are like me and making jokes about taking a syrup that literally says YAC.

As with all things (I might have a slight obsession with this sensory) But smell .... It doesn't smell great, doesn't smell bad. More like a Smokey molasses.

Honestly it tastes just how it smells.

This one took a little bit for me to get used to. I almost quit after the first teaspoon. However, I pulled up my big girl panties and trudged on. Spoonful after spoonful, I noticed the taste was a lot more tolerable. What used to be a dreaded "Okay plug my nose and swallow" type moment was just another quick moment in my day. "No longer plugging my nose."

I started off with 3 teaspoons. One at breakfast, lunch and before dinner.
I had to cut that back when I noticed a bloat that started to accompany each dose.
I dropped it to once in the morning, and once in the afternoon and skipped the dinner session.
This stuff is supposed to make you regular, but I started to have problems after starting it. Fixed, when I cut it down from 3 teaspoons to 2. "It adds fiber.

I didn't notice anything different about my weight .... "which is good and bad." It is supposed to assist in maintaining weight.
I did however feel good over all.

The price is a little steep, but for the benefits it provides, might be worth it.

Magnetic Screen Door - iGotTech (7.7.14) Review.

I never in my life thought I could adore something as simply as a screen door as much as I do.
I decided to give this a try .... ONE, because I do not have a back screen door, and TWO, getting and installing a back screen door would be way more than I was interested in investing.

Easier, just to keep the door shut.

Then, my AC broke "Sigh." with the weather being 91 degrees outside and climbing, I needed as much air flow as possible.

Magnetic screen door.... PERFECT OPTION.

ONE. Cost, the cost itself is really quite cheap for what you are getting.
TWO. No crazy tools needed for installation. (I did have the watch the YouTube video they provide because apparently I had issues.)
THREE. Super easy to install. "Specially if you get your husband to do it.) But I watched him, and it is easy.

The video shows them installing it inside on a hallway type place. I needed it on my back door. I couldn't hang it inside however "Wouldn't fit inside the door frame and still allow the door to close. So I put it on the OUTSIDE of the house door. Worked perfectly.

Why would I freak out about not having a screen door when my ac craps the bed? BECAUSE I AM TERRIFIED OF BUGS. Also, I have a lot of stray cats that hang around and try to come inside.

Works like it should ... door is wide open and not a bee in sight. (That was really my fear, I am allergic to bees.) No mosquitos .... and no cats! "I am also allergic to cats,) Important to keep them outside.

All in all ... I love this thing. Perfect, cheaper alternative if you are in a bind and need something quick. I love it.

Barefaced Dead Sea Mud Mask Review.

Barefaced dead sea mud mask .... CUTEST Container ever. Maybe because I like bears is why I wanted to try this so bad.
This stuff ... gets good and bad marks from me.

First thing I notice on all things that I put on my face is SMELL ... this stuff does not smell great. It is like a mixture of crayons, glue and vapor rub. Pretty much smells like a kindergarten class room with a sick kid in it.
That being said .... Once it is on your face for the first few moments, your nose adapts and it doesn't bother you too much. (It's not too terrible, just not pretty smelling like some of the other masks I have tried. (However, I have had skin reactions with those that smell good, and that could be the underlining factor. SO THIS IS A PLUS AND A CON.
One. smells "Not so great."
Two and this is a big one for me....

TWO .... This is the first face mask that I have used where after I washed it off, my face was NOT red and irritated. It was my normal face color, no welts. HUGE for me. Since other masks I have tried, I always seem to have a reaction to.

Three. Tightness, You know how when you wear face masks.. you can feel your face stiffen? Where when you smile, it feels like your face is flaking off? That didn't happen the few times that I have used this stuff. Felt like a face. I honestly forgot I had it on, left it on for an hour and a half, instead of just the 15 minutes. So that is good ... because there is nothing worse than feeling like you have something stiffening your face.

Four. My face is as soft as a babies bottom. Feels fresh, and oddly MOISTERIZED. With others after washing it off, my face felt dry and I would end up putting on lotions etc. But Not with this. I washed it off and my face felt so good ... I just free balled it! Nothing, not even my vitamin c serum, I will put it on later, but for right now, this very moment, after having JUST washed it off my face. It feels good.

Another thing I noticed, isn't really something you should ... I am just clumsy in all that I do. While washing it off my face, I did accidently get some in my mouth. Definitely salty,

Mossad agent Cobra Book Review

Another spy book thrill ride. I have to say that spy books may not be my favorite genre, but with writers like Dov Nardimon, that genre is slowly rising and settling in my top 10 go to book types.

This one starts off a little slow, I almost sat this one down. But be committed to reading it, I stuck with it. Wasn't before long that I was hooked. A few pages in, it gripped onto me and demanded my attention.

The flow of the writing is fast pace, slow in some places, but just as you are starting to get bored it picks right back up again.

I can not say a lot without giving the book away, but I can say that a lot during this read, I felt like I was back in history class. It was both entertaining and educational. I feel like I know more about Israel now than I ever did during school years. ... a plus either way you look at it.

I did put the pieces together, rather early on in the story ... so the end was not a surprise. But I enjoyed the journey none the less.

The characters , well written,  and believable.

It was a nice escape from my real life, It is a long book, but I would recommend it.

That is a pro and a con.
ONE THING LEARNED ..... Do not over do it. Yes, you feel like you have the energy enough to power run the entire world for at least a week, but you should remember your body still has limits. Having so much energy I started off strong, only to end up with a ton of energy and a body too sore to move. Not having the will power to put myself through pain, I had to stop the pills until I was able to move more easily, other wise I would sit there and feel jittery and anxious.

Second thing learned was timing of doses ... Only being able to take two doses in a day, I naturally assumed morning and evening. NOPE! Bad idea, at least for me .... I couldn't sleep. It was good for my husband because I spent that sleepless night cleaning the house. But bad for me, because the next day I looked like I was a drug attic on with drawls, over tired and buzzed on the next dose for the day ... I was a mess.
Magic way .. Morning, and Noon ... You will be extreme tired at the end of the day. Weather you exercised or not, your body gets worn out. I find myself in bed before 10.

Do these work on boosting energy ... yes. Will it inevitably cause weight loss, YES ... it is impossible to not lose weight, when you are constantly active. Mixed with a better than you have been diet. I give these a thumbs up ... why? Because I can feel them working. I can see the results. I do not know if these would work without changing your life style, but if you make even the slightest change to your diet, I whole heartedly believe they will work.

I have been a BIG FAN of Garcinia cambogia for a few months now, so it will come as NO SURPRISE, when I rave about this one. With these, I barely made it through a double cheese burger kids meal. Honestly, I didn't even finish the fries, and that is my favorite part.

So I liked that about these ... I do not know if they have a different chemical build up than others, but instead of suppressing the appetite fully, it simply took the edge off, so that you could tell when you have had enough. IF YOU KEPT EATING after knowing you were full (and I did twice) ONLY TWICE ... but if you did, you did regret it. I felt sick if I went passed the Im full feeling. So If I had an opinion on that, it would be, these not only help you cut back, burn the fat ETC. but they also teach you to read the signs. A GREAT THING, so that when and if you decide to stop taking them, they have instilled that in you.

I have only recently started using this on nails .... I rub it like you would a cuticle cream, I do not know if my nails are better, but I do know that the cuticle area looks less damaged. A lot less flecks of skin flaking, if you bite your nails, you know what I mean.

Okay, so I am notorious for trying multiple, all sorts of pills for fat burning .... sigh. It has been a quest for years.

I lost 4 inches around my waist. HUGE loss! I could fit into my favorite pair of pants again! THAT ROCKED!

I have now got my husband on these, and will continue trying them out.

Micro Jesus Pendant Gold Plated with CZ Eyes Review.

Okay, I LOVE JEWLERY! Any and all kinds of jewelry. I am a believer of something more, so getting a kick butt Jesus necklace from HHBling, Was awesome.

So awesome that I didn't get a chance to really wear it that much. My 10 year old daughter, snatched that as quick as you can say ... "Look, I have a new neck ..." Pretty much insists that it is hers, and that she will not be giving it back.

Looks like I will have to get my own.

It is an adorable little necklace, comes on a long Snap the ball in the part chain. The Jesus itself is well detailed, but it is all in the eyes. They are these diamond like eyes.

My favorite part is the back .... (not that the front isn't amazing) It has this lattice type gold cover, ad is hollow inside to where you can see how they did the detail in the Jesus face.
I was hoping it would open like a locket, but its still awesome.

My daughter says ... You'll be the most gangsta awesome girl/boy in church if you rock it!

We would deff look into other designs they have.

The only problem we had with this necklace was that the dog tag chain kept coming undone ... we just snipped that one ball off and used the next one, and problem was fixed!

Dancing Bear Book Review

Dancing Bear, was a pleasant surprise. I read a lot of spy stories, and a lot of thrillers and just have now begun to read some romances. This book touches down on all three genres. Mingles them together effortlessly.
At first Dancing bear was just like every other spy book I have read. Although I will admit that it is faster paced, and I honestly believe better written.
But just when you feel like this is something you have read, a path you have already been down. It bolts you onto a completely different and expectant path.

The writing itself is impeccable. Like the writer actually knew these things. After Reading the Author page, I understand now why I felt that way. Like I was reading someone's life. This writer is definitely doing what he was meant to do ... write. I look forward to more stories from him. This book is deff put into my

The characters are impressive. Well constructed, believable ... they are exactly how I would imagine real people in real situations to be like. I may have never met any in my waking life, "That I know of." But If I were to describe them. Kate and David, would be who I would come up with. I felt these characters ... I fell in love with them both. They kept me on edge the entire story from front to back, I like that. Not many books have characters with such a real presence.

Everything about this book is top notch. My husband, who is not really into romance, is even enjoying this book.

I absolutely love this book ... I will be reading it again and I would recommend it to anyone. Weather it is a genre they would read or not ... it has this uncanny ability to suck you in whole .. and spit you out completely moved.

Eye Cream for Reducing Eye Puffiness, Dark Circles, Wrinkles and Fine Lines Around Eyes Review.

I do not normally use eye creams - I have found none that work. I tried this one on a whim, "Thanks to a fall in self esteem when a friend said, wow you look dead." Dark circles, that is my problem. An easy fix with concealer -- when I remember to wear makeup.

Dark circles, due to long nights, not much sleep. First thing I noticed is, I liked the Jar. I could be sold alone just by packaging. I am a sucker for it. Second thing I noticed was smell, or well in this case a lack there of. There was no smell, which was perfect for me. Things with strong smells on faces I have noticed tend to not sit well with my skin. I have very sensitive skin, and a sensitive nose. I would not have been able to tolerate an off smell all day. Third thing I noticed was the creamy feeling. Some eye creams, they have this water feel ... where you are not even sure if you put it on because it evaporates so quickly. Some have an overly oily texture that sits like a face mask on your face. This one ... its like a gentle hand cream. Smooth creamy -- lasts long enough to know you have just given your eyes the gentle massage they deserve, but ends quick enough, that you are not walking around during the day feeling like you are wearing an invisible coon mask.

I did notice (while I do not normally have eye puffiness) that one day when waking up after a night of rubbing my eyes all day and night (I am allergic to cats, when they come inside my eyes get itchy and I can not seem to leave them alone) After a day of cat petting -- they were swollen. I did my normal morning skin routine, this eye cream included -- and a few hours later they were less noticeably irritated. So I would assume that people with puffiness would benefit from this.

Dark circles! -- It didn't happen right away. It isn't some magic potion where instantly the dark circles vanish, I was hopeful. But that is not how it happened. That being said ... after a few weeks of using it, I do very much so see a change in how dark my eyes appear. They no longer look sunken in. They look more like a normal persons. The dark circles are not completely gone, but they without a doubt have lightened. I honestly think if I continue to use this stuff ... they will lighten completely. I will let you know.

Lines around the eyes .... I do notice my crows feet getting a little less pronounced, I can not say that this is just because of his eye cream however. Mainly because I have been using vitamin C serums and that also says it is supposed to reduce the appearance of fine lines. So these two working together, YES .... The lines are reducing.

All in all, I will continue to use this eye cream. I like looking better rested than like uncle fester. It is deff, a look into type product. I would recommend it.

A PS. NOTE --- This is the same company, same brand that makes THE BEST SOAP I have ever tried, along with a mineral lift serum. I absolutely adore this company, this brand! Now if I can get them to make a vitamin C serum ... they would complete my entire face regimen.

Fresh Fruit Vinegars by Mange Review.

Okay ... I love to cook. I love to cook because I love to come up with new ideas. The kitchen to me, is like science class! I can't wait to see what mixing this with that is going to make happen.

Some things I have tried, have been good ... others, eh, turned into more of a lets order pizza night.

I love mixing fruit with my meals! -- So when I got a chance to try these fresh fruit vinegars, I was excited. I got sour apple, and Cherry.

I had been copying this meal from red lobster since I ate it there (Cherry Maple Chicken) If you go to red lobster and you haven't tried it. You should!
Normally I would add cherry juice to the maple syrup - but since I had this vinegar, I decided to use this instead. BEST CHOICE EVER!

One -- It tasted amazing. "Even before cooking with it, I tasted it when I opened the jar."
Two -- It didn't have that over powering sickingly sweet taste that cherry juice takes on. Add that to maple syrup and its a cavity in seconds concoction. Plus it adds this tangy zing like kick, which made the meal that much better!

We had side salad with this meal - and I will tell you that I didn't even use the side of ranch for it. The juice from the Cherry fruit vinegar was a better match! GREAT SALAD DRESSING!

The sour apple, I admit, I did not use for cooking. We used it on our fourth of July celebrations! We made a vodka punch - added the sour apple fruit vinegar -- that stuff was like kool aid! I have to get a big bottle just for parties a lone. *Definitely try to mix it in your drinks* super tasty!

all in all ... we all loved it.
It bettered the recipe for the lobster steal I have been trying to recreate
and didn't taste the alcohol one single bit (which is huge for me, because I do not like the taste of alcohol.)

I would recommend them, I absolutely would.

Advanced Formula Vitamin C Serum by Foxbrim Review

If any of you out there have been following my blog. You would know that I have become completely addicted to Vitamin C serums. I believe in them whole heartedly. Which is why I have been trying different brands to see if one or the other works best for me.

Foxbrim - This stuff like all the vitamin C serums I have tried. WORKS!

The smell on this one is a little stronger, smells like blowing bubbles, or baby wipes or a mixture of the two. IT ONLY smells like that on the bottle. Soon as you massage it into your palms and place it on your face, that smell is gone.

The bottle itself is adorable.

I have noticed something with this stuff that I have never noticed with any of the other brands I have tried. It has a cooling effect. My face always seems to feel cool, like a fan breeze stuck on my face. Which in turn makes it feel light and refreshed. I honestly was thrown by that feeling, "Truth" At first I thought I was having a reaction, but once I realized nothing was wrong, I fell in love. I still had some of other brands .... if I had used one and I didn't get that cooling feeling Sometimes (if I was not already late getting to where I had to be) I would re wash and apply foxbrim instead. SPECIALLY on the hot summer days like they have been.

This stuff helps keep my Acne at bay. Normally I break out in crazy amounts of pimples right before that dreaded time of the month. But this stuff keeps them gone. Maybe one or two at my temples pop up. but not at all bad like before.

I have noticed that if I stop using the vitamin c serums that I do tend to break out, and worse than ever. so I continue to use it.

My friend the other day came over sporting a cold sore..... I knew it worked on pimples NO IDEA if it would her cold sore. Had her apply some with a qtip (those suckers can last weeks) She said that hers was almost completely gone two days later. So if you suffer from cold sores ... this very well could be a quick fix for you too.

My face feels free. Smooth, fresh, and I think I do see a little less stress around the eyes. The crows feet seem to be a little smoother.

Vitamin C serums will always be in my makeup bag, my daily routine. But I think Foxbrim shot itself up to the number one slot. LOVE IT!
